For my bachelors project, I made a virtual trip around the world via Google Street View. I planned four different tours, each lasting a month. Four trips in four completely different places in the world. From Central Asia, to the Himalayas, to South Africa and Canada. I recorded my trip in a series of 80 postcards, which I wrote to my dad. The stories I wrote were mostly made up travel experiences, sometimes verging on the absurd. The design of the postcards is a collage of the real photo from Google Street View and own illustrated elements. This creates confusion between reality and illusion. The funny thing is that after this project I actually had the feeling that I had really visited these places.
